Hello guys!!!!!!!!

I had this really LONG break from blogosphere. Partly it was intentional and partly it was not.I just wanted to taste the mundane activities of daily life more deeply and engage myself in a sedentary yet days filled with run-of-the-mill chores. Chores that kept me occupied or simply dazed into thoughts.

Sometimes it takes time to adapt ,right? I had exams. I am still awaiting my results. And...let me tell you..it's kinda SCARY. And other personal turmoil . Say,I was in a bit of emotional unrest? Blogging is awesome. But I needed time only for myself and regain my spiritual connect. I needed a spirituality check! That counts for me. It keeps me sane. And keeps me at peace.

I've been reading Khaled Hosseini's A Thousand Splendid Suns. So I am virtually in Afghanistan now.I also read Norma Khouri's Forbidden Love and was baffled when I found out the author had miffed the entire world with her apparent falsity or dearth of truth in her story. However,I loved the book.

I read books than transport me completely to alien places so I get to visualize and connect with their kinda world; The characters in the plot, I mean. I loved Dalia and Norma' s friendship. In a way ,I was envious. Because, tell me, who today is being such thick friends with one another? They say "keep your friends close and enemies closer". But what if you don't know to differentiate one from another? What age are we living in? We are so digitally and technologically screwed up!
I loved the way Dalia did and also cried when she departed. Uuuuuuuuuufffffff....I get so emotionally attached to these characters that it almost feels like they were my camaraderie.

I'll sign off leaving you with a few lingering thoughts. From the last many months ,oops ,I mean 2 months..I have been figuring out the importance of INTENTIONS! And how they impact us and the people around us. And I've learned tremendously from the result born out of POSITIVE INTENTIONS. Even when negative thoughts fluttered through my mind, I weeded them out and brought in a curtain of serene thoughts of forbearance and happiness and love. It really is the spiritual therapy I gave myself.

Are you giving yourself a good dose of that, lately? :)

cya!
Have an awesome day ahead!! :)
Lotsa love.

Smile a sunshine

Wednesday, 8 February 2012
I am so charged up today for 3 simple reasons.

1.I'm happy.
2.I'm planning to shed some extra pounds and I'm working on it.
3.Because I'm bent on shedding those extra pounds, again,I'm happy.

It's proved: Mind plays 50-70% role in losing weight so we've got to just work upto that 30-50% only.Seems easy right? What about you?Planning to get rid of that extra flesh here and there? Dying to get that perfect body you've forever photographed of yourself in mind? Why not just begin with a few sit ups today? Or why not go for a long brisk walk with your best friend early morning? Or why don't you work on that Orbitrek that you've kept in store at your house like a museum on show?

Go ahead yo gorgeous beings! Work hard for the star look. You deserve to look gorgeous.Do everything it takes to achieve what you've wholesomely visualized in mind. Set your goal and work for it. 6 months from now, imagine yourself. Stick pics of your healthy-beautiful self wherever you go often and see the wonders.

Remember..

Just a tip: Exercises are all about rewarding your body with endorphins and strength ,not about punishing your body with what you eat. So, pull up your sleeves.Exercise hard!

You get the gist now. Just get your brains working. Are you on holidays? Don't get lazy and doze on every couch you spot at home.Keep reading .Never let your mind wander into wild realms. Do some Math. Math can REALLY tickle your mind to bounce back on an active mode. So you'll keep wanting to be active.Start with one active thought.Do that active thought, I'm sure active activities will fall your way.It all begins with you. You want it,then work for it.

Also,Remember, An Idle Mind is a devil's workshp. I can vouch for this one!
Do something you love.Exercise .Keep fit. Nutrition is the key.So eat right. Don't keep snacking over oily foods we are typically so fond of!  Take one morsel at a time. Relish every morsel. You got food today, consider yourself lucky. There are millions starving to get a single morsel.

You've got to take the pain to do everything. No pain ,No gain.We all know that
adage. So,then , why not undergo some pain for a fruitful gain, people?

I'm in a bubbly mode today just at the thought of staying-fit-keeping-myself-busy-will-keep -me-happy ,no matter what. What about you? What's your story of bubbliness today?

Ciao, guys! Hope my happy fever got on to you as well! :)

@ Sarah's Kitchen

A fabulously Cooking day,today!
I had a wonderful time playing with my small cousins today. Online games. The Sarah's cooking games and the like.Erm. I know I sound like nothing but a big bore! But I had such a nice time. My little cousin was teaching me the tricks of cooking this spoon-fed game. I was like literally rolling on floor laughing, playing away to glory!
And my little sis' and me even promised ourselves we'd do those recipes hands-on ;) Sounds like a real kitchen-adventure,doesn't it?!

So,see above. That's my new online friend lately! I go to her everytime I feel the need to be relaxed or want to be on a cooking spree. The prospect of actually making those yummylicious dishes just gets me off my feet, emotionally! I made mouth watering Spaghetti Bolognese .I baked Banana cupcakes,Black Forest Cakes & also played preparing Mixed Fruit Smoothie and what not!

One day.I'm just going to prepare all those with a wave of my wand and serve my foodie wonders to all my dear dearies.Maybe I can show off my cooking talents a little ;)

The Spaghetti Bolognese is something I will definitely try coz I have this mad affinity towards spaghetti! I'm a spaghetti addict!

Banana Cupcake. Anyone? ;) Only for the sake of cooking,I wish I get married soon. Mom fears me entering the kitchen. I'm partially banned except for Maggie making.As it is I'm so darn clumsy! {She thinks I'll burn myself  or come out all smoked like those cartoons with hair stuck out in different directions after an accident,I guess.}

Craving for that irresistible Black Forest Cake? Gorge over it. I can sense those tempted souls falling for this chocolate desire already.Bah,I know how heavenly it is!

I hope these colorful dishes was enough to satiate all the hungry souls.
Did you know that some very specific chefs/moms all over take the time to specially garnish any dish they come up with?
They season and sauce up the dish so deliciously that it's lookable. Look-ably delicious! Doctors state that the very look of a dish is enough to satiate the taste buds of humans so then, we tend to binge less.

So here's the tip, lovely ladies! Always , always remember to make your dishes look gorgeous and deck it up to a magical array of colors making one consume heartily.Plus the decorations give a color enhancing image in the brain resorting to make us feel we're having an intake fresh food. That's a positive boost to the mind. Stay fresh &  learn those garnishing techniques strewn all over the web.

Have a happy meal ,people! I hope this made you smile. That's my mission! My ultimate mission:To not let anyone go unsmiling! :)

There's NO reason not to Laugh!

Wednesday, 1 February 2012
Hellooo ,my laughing friends!! I stick to one theme per day. And my theme for today is L.A.U.G.H! You know what that means? It means Laugh(L) All(A) Your(Ur) Guts(G) and Heart(H) out!

Er, I didn't really find anything matching those letters at the moment. However, you get my point. Go,laugh your hearts out. In life, our small choices matter. It could make us cry or laugh. But what does it do to us in the long run? If it makes you cry less and laugh more,GRAB it!

Our Life needs it's daily dose of laughter. We breathe through our laughs of life.
Then how else could we live?! :)

Want to laugh more? Checkout Laugh, baby,Laugh!!

*signing off with hoots of laughter*

Love & Laughs!

Laugh,baby,Laugh!!

I was just feeling all wierd this morning after waking up late around 8.Yes, 8 is late for me. I love waking up to watch the rising sun. Just kidding. I love waking early enough to feel fresh and have my cuppa coffe/chai!

So I go downstairs and the first thing I like reading are those Calvin and Hobbes strip.I adore them. They make me laugh or atleast smile.Isn't that a nice way to start a happy holiday?

Audrey Hepburn said "I love people who make me laugh. I honestly think it's the thing I like most, to laugh. It cures a multitude of ills. It's probably the most important thing in a person."

I couldn't agree to her more.I love people who can crack you up in a jiffy. It talks laughable amounts of them.It shows how they can turn anything into a big comic satire. They say people who are jovial are mostly people who have a lot heart wrecking problems.Or they are the heart wreckers! I think,BOTH stand true. I don't know if nature has designed them like that but I think nature has given us/people a good blend of the right things. And it all boils down to how we choose those merry things/thoughts to have a merrier life.

Calvin and Hobbes!
The comic strips are so darn cute-funny! I love this cute 6 year old fella rambling anything and everything so confidently. He surely is a rage,world-wide. And I doubt, sans Calvin Hobbes ,there could be any other strip worth replacing this cutie pie!

I still remember, back in Bombay/Mumbai, there was a Laughing Club in my colony. I used to find it quiet odd then. I used to wonder what on earth these people got out of laughing so monstrously early in the morning ,scarying the hell out of little kids like me.

Those clubs begin with a dash of smiles from one another in the group of people assembled. Then the smile grows little by little mounting to roaring laughs. Well, Laughing has become a global phenomenon today. There are Laughing clubs all over.

Go do your nearest Laughing Yoga.It helps. It helps diffusing all those tense moments that keep you locked in your shell.

So,go ahead and LOL!
I'll leave you smiling at another C&H strip.
Happy Laughing,guys!!

Smile

Wednesday, 25 January 2012

The word Smile reminds me of:
1)The song Words from Boyzone that begins with "Smile, an everlasting smile ...."
That is one hell of a song that sure makes everyone smile, doesn't it? :)

2)My Mom's smile when I tell her something happy. She almost always smiles.Probably the most warm hearted person I've ever seen till date.
Moms are really the world's bestest people. I think if God never created Moms ,I don't know what I would've been today. :)

3)My Dad's smile when I tell him I've scored good grades or when I win some contest.
Dads make a daughter's world so colorful and supportive, don't you think? My dad used to support me everytime I got in trouble with back-answering my mom or did some mischief at school, ofcourse in a healthy way :)

4) My Brother who used to call me "frown face" when I was a kid!
I think that helped a lot during my growing days. That phrase used to remind me how often I get agitated over petty things. And how easily irritable I could become.

5) Smile..When that someone so special gives you without asking!
Life gives you that one person you'd rather do anything to retain they're smile and keep them safe in your arms for ever.

6)I'd recently gone visiting a Home for the run away kids.
And those girls. OMG! They're so mighty adorable. They are sent to private schools.Everything is looked after. They have few generous donors. It's amazing to see those girls circling around you with love & laughter in a few words of friendship you exchange with them. I think those are few things I'll never forget in life. When I left the Home, a small girl gave me a toffee and swiftly ran inside the house. Was that a token of love?Of happinesss? I was so touched. That's another post altogether. I smiled! :)

7)Reviving an almost broken Friendship.
It's funny how certain people ,when they become a part of your life,we don't realise how happy they make they're presence felt. The realization comes after they've ALMOST walked out your door.I grabbed that one final chance and made peace with a friend. I smiled. :) All the joys came  flooding through those empty spaces.

8)Angels on earth.
There are another set of people ,who walk into your life so untimely, that they're very existence saves you of having you carry all the burden yourself!

9)And there are few other friends ..
Who simply stand by you no matter what. Be it,during the storms of life or a sunshine peeping through.
This smile is for the few constant people in my life who never failed to make me SMILE! :)

10)There are those who's connections we forge are very short-lived ,yet it makes our day!
I make mine almost everyday. You Go ahead, make that connection today with someone new! I'm sure you'll smile!

In this post, I wanted to stress the importance of SMILE but ended up writing a list of what makes me smile in turn making me happy!

I read my list, re-read it. Re-re-read it. It made me SMILE! :)
What about you? What's on your list of SMILES today?

Happy!

I wish I could just climb roof tops and hill tops just to praclaim how happy I am. I have no reason. No specific event in my life at the moment so "happening"! Infact certain things are going totally downhill. But I'm still feeling happy and worried for nothing at all! Feeling some kind of internal peace. I'm just relishing every moment of it. I'm just worried I can't write much because of my exams in exactly 9 days and 10 hours .However , my urge to write is undying.

I am happy I am happy! I hope you all can sing along!

Khalil Gibran's words express exactly how I feel now!
Your living is determined not so much by what life brings to you as by the attitude you bring to life; not so much by what happens to you as by the way your mind looks at what happens.

I was just reading a lovely blog. And this blogger, she had written on why one quotes on quotes and how much she likes doing the same.Taking cue from that , I'd like to tell you that today, I have no words. No written language to proclaim how happy I am. I just am. And I quoted Khalil Gibran because those words were exactly how I wanted to describe the current situation of my soul, into words. However , I find it difficuilt to prize those words out of my soul  now that I'm so happy. The same happens when I'm  very sad too. It's either extremes. It's a kind of brain-lock, soul-lock or whatever you call it!

So, I'll just wave good-night to all my friends out there, before that,SMILE! It sure makes you live LOOONGER than the number of Os I've addeded in the word.

SMILE AND THE WORLD SMILES WITH YOU,
SMILE AND HAPPINESS IS YOURS!

Thank you,Universe.
