Chi , the way of life

Tuesday 10 January 2012

Helllooo people! :)

This is one write-up I wanted to post long back. It's about the Prana and it's significance. I'm sure many of you would've learnt this somewhere along. It's gaining popularity here in Asia. But the books are equally a huge hit, worldwide! This phenomenon has transcended all religions, languages and creed. It's almost like an alternative to Reiki.

Prana means life force and it was first introduced by The Grand Master Choa Kok Sui.This subtle energy is called Chi in Chinese and Ruach or The breath of Life in Hebrew. And this is all about how one uses the life force to enhance one's aura.

Aura?
Aura is something extremely fascinating. It's an energy field that surrounds us,around 5 to 7
inches. An aura surrounds the plants, trees, animals and us humans. It's got a color too!And this color varies from person to person. Why, simply because it mirrors a person's mood, character and his/her health conditions.

It is known that ,Gautama Buddha had an aura of 3km. Amazing right?! It's also known that priests ,pastors and the various spiritual heads have one hell of an aura!Meaning,it's strong! The aura determines the kind of a person you are ,like inside out!And the better or
"beautiful" the aura ,the more you are strong-willed ,patient & all those characteristics that make one a wonderful person, spiritually & otherwise. And when a person's aura is weak , it means ,his energy levels are low meaning his health is going downhill or reasons that keep him locked in himself, lost.

In the Pranic world,I know people belonging to different religions/races practising Pranic Healing simply because it makes them be at peace with their inner self. The meditations give them an emotional uplift like no other.

I'm going to make this big picture about Pranic Healing sound a tad easy. We all know that we have in us The Chakras. And it is vital to keep all the chakras working in balance for each of us to maitain a state of equilibrium in life.Focussing all our energy to do and think the right things in life is what Pranic Healing all about. It's almost the same as the LOA! It teaches men how to cleanse their energy(of thought and action) and keep good health. It teaches how to keep our aura glowing throughout and cleansing it of all its toxins!Yes, our aura can actually have toxins!!

Toxins= Negative thoughts like jealousy, anger ,resentment and you all know better. And we know ,Bad thoughts lead to Bad health.

So what is this big thing about Pranic Healing? Why couldn't it be another religion?Isn't it spiritual? Anything spiritual is religious right?! Well,I was so confused.I googled religion and spiritualism.Google tells me

"Spirituality is direct communion, or the seeking of direct communion, with the Divine.Or more accurately, realising that you are already One with the Divine, indivisible and eternal. That is the entire purpose of spirituality. However, the purpose of religion is somewhat different.
Religion was created by people who wanted to pursue spiritual evolution. It is meant
to point the way to enlightenment, that is, union with the Divine.
The trick is, you can't understand -- let alone explain -- spiritual enlightenment unless
you've been there yourself.
So religion tried to explain spirituality, without understanding the crucial bits! What
we're left with, after you remove all the important bits of spirituality, is religion.

Religion is an attempt to point the way to spirituality."

Quite an interesting article!

I read this other article which strongly says that spiritualism and religion are the
 same,

"There is nothing at all valid in the concept of spirituality — just that the distinction
between spirituality and religion in general is not valid. Spirituality is a form of
religion, but a private and personal form of religion. Thus, the valid distinction is
between spirituality and organized religion."

Personally ,I feel , spiritualism and religion are like North Pole and South Pole in today's
times.

My definition of Spiritualism
A quest for self. A quest for my inner peace and a divine connection with The
Almighty/God. It's not a gush of mixed tainted emotions but a ground of natural serenity.
So serene that I'd be on pursuit to let my every dream come to life!

My definition of Religion
Honestly,It's not like I distrust my religion. But I think it's totally commercialised these days. People talk about Religion and Spirituality as two separate entities when they actually should co-exist in each other and always have. It's like without yin there is no yang.Likewise, without spiritualism there is no religion.

So my idea of religion is not tarnished ,YET! Because I choose not to.I believe in this whole constitution of The religion.Every religion,I mean.

Or maybe,I could say even like this: There are so many religions that flood the earth. And it's spirituality that unites them all?!

I still haven't got the right answers. But my mind is clear.I am on my journey discovering the jewels of life. The jewels I'd love guarding very close to my heart,in chasing my dreams.

Absolutely agree with your thoughts about religion and spirituality. And I especially love the fact that you are able to admit that you don't have all the answers. It's only when we can admit that we don't know everything, that we can be open to discovering more of the truth.

    Great post Jen

Yet another great post Jennifer:)!! Being raised catholic and being very religious-in a sense of following all the rules and attending mass regularly I was always filled with more and more questions and left with even more confusing answers. Along the way I found spirituality in the same place I had always found god-within myself and all around me. Religion has become some what of a media frenzy and has separated too many of us instead of uniting us. Today I do not attend mass-nor do I consider myself a catholic. I have removed all titles and stuck with what I still do believe in-my daily prayers which I now refer to as my meditations and believing in god which is in each of us and all around us. It is in the nature that beautifies our planet and in the force that created the planets and universes.
Today when I get asked the question of what religion am I- I respond by saying ,"whatever religion means being happy, appreciative, balanced, respectful and loving- well that's my religion."
Some get it and some don't.
As long as I get it-it's all that matters:) beautiful post Jennifer!!.

  1. Wow Daisy!! :) So agree! I am pretty much in the same phase right now. Being catholic, going for mass every Sunday feels nice but its not so fulfilling. Maybe we are missing something very vital to keep ourselves finely tuned to our inner selves?!

I totally TOTALLY agree with you Daisy!! :))
